1999 Ford F-450 - 7.3L Diesel - Bucket Truck / Boom

We put brand new batteries in, and it started right up on first crank. Runs and drives well, like a 7.3L tank. I drove it to NW Austin two week ago from Mustang Ridge; approx. 50 miles, without a single hiccup. The bucket truck functions properly. Boom goes much higher than pictured. I watch the auctions and going rates of these trucks so do not try to haggle me. The absolute cheapest barely working unit recently sold for $25k in similar condition. Another sold for $15k with a non-working engine three months ago. The few posted of this year and specs are over $20k. The boom arm alone can be removed and sold for more than what I am asking. The Bad: Scratches and imperfections throughout the exterior. Torn seat where the driver sits, but I have an entirely new seat you can have. Because it wasn’t used; when first started, a little smoke comes from the exhaust pipe. Once it's warmed up, it goes away. If I wouldn’t have told you; you wouldn’t have noticed. I have a video of it running fine and you can’t see any smoke at all. It is either one of the following issues: It could just need to be driven a little bit, given some fresh fuel, and maybe run some Seafoam through the tank it to clean everything out. OR Valve cover gasket failure. The valve cover gasket has a harness built into it on these models that are wiring for the injectors. The injectors plug into this harness essentially. Maybe a rodent chewed at that or something? I looked and didn’t find any signs of this at all, but it’s a possibility so I am listing it. This is a 3 hour job.
