24 pound Cedar Strip 12' Canoe Solo

This 24 pound Custom built beauty is light enough to carry and cartop with one hand. It is 12'-0" by 28" wide by 11" deep and comes with built in seat, tight back support, adjustable foot braces, and four custom tie-down rings for spare paddle, pump, dry bags or any other seat. The craftsmanship here is unique as the artist built over 30 boats in his lifetime. This one is barely used. There is a weight limit of about 175 pounds on this boat. I own other wood canoes, and I need my bigger boat to camp. I weigh 155lb. You will love this gem for day trips but I am selling her to do more than that. If you are under the weight limit, woman, man or child, this craft makes you wildlife on the water with not a sound or splash that's not intentional. If you seat yourself properly she moves like a swan with included double paddle or single of your choice. Speed for a small boat is amazing. A full kevlar bottom gives you lots of protection although soft landings are advised. I have been in the pine barons and scraped some down trees , a few rocks, and always slip into tight spots. You will see very mild scrapes due to the high quality epoxy and kevlar over woven fiberglass. Every part is shelled in fiberglass. She would be 21 pounds without the kevlar. If you are lucky enough to have the cash and the appropriate weight and motivation, you are in for new sparkle in your life. If you have wandered what a strip boat is like I have found nothing else so wonderful, the hull slips through the water and this one has a kevlar hull for long term protection. Two seat and backrest options with foot braces you can dial into wearing this craft and after many many boats and a boat dealership, a strip built boat is amazing.
