Description:

1988 Dodge D250 ¾ ton with the solid 360 5.9 liter 8 cylinder engine and I have receipts for all the new parts and upgrades on the truck. Only 152,086 miles on this truck with a long bed and 2WD with a manual transmission. Clean title Manual transmission (NP-435) 4 speed and 2wd 360 5.9 engine 8 cylinder 7500 GVWR 3.5 axle ratio It was well taken care of as explained in more detail below and this will make a great truck for someone and it never let me down while driving it. Engine is extremely strong if you ever wanted to pull a camper with it, trailer or use it with a truck camper since most all truck campers require a ¾ ton truck or 1 ton truck. If you want to come see the truck PLEASE DO NOT message me or text me, but rather call me if you want to come test drive it. Thank you in advance and my cell is… 785.. …735 . . 48.64. . . . I originally purchased it to use with a 5th wheel camper, but I never used it for this and it never had a 5th wheel plate installed in it either. I did install a heavy-duty bumper trailer hitch on this to upgrade the factory bumper hitch that was originally on it. I only used it three times to haul a heavy 8,500-pound travel trailer for 3 hours total and it hauled with ease since this truck is geared low to haul heavy things. I put $1,000 worth of new tires on it just 2,500 miles ago. AC blows cold air, changed all the belts, new fluids, aligned properly, new tires rotated and balanced, new brakes, new yokes on drive shaft, spark plugs, carburetor cleaned and serviced, new battery, etc., and all new fluids in the differential, coolant, brake fluid, wiper blades, windshield in great shape with no cracks at all, etc. Just to be on the safe side my mechanic also put in a good used rear end in this when I bought it 3 years ago. The original rear end was still decent, but a little worn down and we didn’t want to take any chances if I would be hauling a 5th wheel camper with it which I never did though anyway. Therefore, it has a good used rear end in it also. I used the dependable Lucas oil in everything from the engine to the rear end differential since this a great investment to keep this truck going strong for years down the road. As you can see from the photos there is a few cosmetic small dents which is common for an older vintage truck. However, amazingly there is no hail damage on this truck at all which is rare to have for truck this age. The dent on the passenger door does not effect shutting the door at all. The dent could be pulled out, but I never did this since it does not affect anything. I also have an additional good used passenger door for this truck that was given to me by the previous owner. He also said it wasn't worth swapping it out since the current door is fine and the new used door would need to be painted, but you can have this used passenger door just in case. I also have a nice tool box with the keys that can go on this truck. The original paint still looks sharp except for on top the hood and roof which is common for these Dodge trucks since those two places it is faded slightly. Selling for the Dodge for $4,800 and no less since it is such good shape, low miles and since we put a lot of needed things into it in the last 24 months that I doubt you would find in any other Dodge truck like this or any other used truck for that matter. My mechanics and I did this to make sure the truck would be dependable for me or whoever buys it for years down the road so that is why we changed all the fluids, belts, spark plugs, rear end, etc., on this truck. Clean title Manual transmission (NP-435) 4 speed and 2wd 360 5.9 engine 8 cylinder 7500 GVWR 3.5 axle ratio Geared to pull and back in 1988 the speed limit was 65mph, but the truck can go 80mph or faster easily. The truck does not use any oil if you go 55-65mph basically, but if you go 65-80mp it will consume some oil since it is geared low and again, the truck was made when the speed limit was 65mph back in 1988. Mechanics will even tell you that consuming some oil when going 65-80mph in a truck geared low and made for pulling heavy loads is normal. I had my mechanic install a heavy-duty hitch on the back mounted to the frame. This allows you to pull a trailer with 1,200-pound tongue weight and up to 12,000 pounds. The factory hitch/bumper on it can carry 900 tongue weight and 9,000 pounds which is still good, but the new heavy-duty hitch is better. Especially since allows you to use weight distribution hitches and also change the height of the ball so you are pulling the trailer or camper at the exact proper height needed. I have all the receipts from the work done by Brian Kuhn in Hays and Leon Wellbrock from Wellbrocks Automotive Repair in Victoria. Both are excellent mechanics who made sure my truck would run great and be a dependable truck for years down the road. The alignment was done just 1,500 miles ago. Again, these are $1,000 new tires and all balanced. I bought the original hub caps (dog dishes) for the wheels and those cost $200 for all four of them, but they do make it look a lot sharper. And you might want to insure the Ram on the hood since that Ram hood ornament costs $250 or more alone. With inflation now thanks to our wonderful politicians it probably costs $350…for that hood ornament. Overall, this is a great strong ¾ ton truck that someone will enjoy and I do get a lot of compliments on this truck when driving it around since that bronze type copper color really shines and stands out in the sun. I have the original owner’s manual and even the original paperwork when this Dodge Ram D250 was bought new in 1988 with specs and receipts for the work that I had done on it. Call me anytime if you want to come see it. Thank you! Again my cell is… 785.. …735 . . 48.64. . . .
