He also installed a breaker so if the battery gets low it wont deplete the chassis battery. THE ROOF: Incredible condition! Rubberized with a liquid paint sealant like Flex Seal. Excellently sealed tight around all roof fixtures. WHEELBASE / DUALLY: The wheelbase provides easy maneuverability and stability when making turns in town. Overall length of RV is just over 20’. SOFAS /BEDS: Both sofas in main salon pull out to make two large single beds. The cushions then lay flat to make the beds. These are newer cushions that were custom made soft and comfortable with new foam and new covers. There are also seat belts underneath the cushions for all passengers to also buckle up. The seat belt straps are BRAND NEW. There are four total seat belts in the RV. INTERIOR: The sink in kitchen area is a double sink with modern hardware. There is also a sink in the bathroom. All bathroom and shower fixtures updated and modernized. There is a new(ish) GE refrigerator/freezer. Gas range top burners and separate oven and there is a closet with TONS of storage next to the kitchen sink area and is great for hanging clothes and using for storage. BED ABOVE CAB: In the photo of the ceiling of the above the bed can you might notice tiny wires zig zagging the ceiling. Those are tiny electric Christmas tree lights. A/C: The rooftop a/c is Carrier brand. Carrier is a commercial quality unit and you rarely see this brand in RV’s. It means that parts and service should be easy to get if you need them as Carrier is worldwide. We tested it and left it on for two hours and it blows ice cold. The Dodge chassis also has an A/C system and the compressor kicks on but it doesn’t blow cold. TOILET: The toilet is Dometic brand. Many people complain about plastic RV toilets. This one has the real deal! It’s a very expensive toilet, over $300! INTERIOR: The walls and ceiling are incredibly SOLID (better than even new RV’s). ZERO indication of ANY previous water leaks (I am VERY picky about this when buying a used RV). ENGINE: Engine is the legendary, bullet-proof 5.9 liter 360 8 cylinder. Parts are easy to get parts and maintenance is not expensive or difficult because of how basic the drive train is. This is one of the many reasons why this RV is great- the simplicity of it. It is extremely powerful and I have to be careful to go easy on the gas pedal! The engine is beautiful- outifitted with high end Edelbrook components and high end racing wires and sports a brand new carburetor. Many consider this to be one of if not the most reliable engines Dodge ever made. It is even used to this day in many marine applications (boats). BATTERY: The battery is DieHard and the production date is 05/22. There is also a marine battery under one of the sofas that is a super heavy deep cycle that probably weight 60 lbs. It powers the interior lights when off grid. We wired it to the alternator so it charges while driving. It also has a breaker so it won’t affect your chassis battery. And a new update is we wired an outlet to it so you can easily charge devices or run basic appliances off the marine battery. If the battery gets low it will automatically charge itself off the alternator when driving. STARTING / ENGINE: The Dodge always starts up on the first crank and the engine is smooth- no irregular idling- always smooth. Fully tuned. Idles perfectly. The transmission shifts flawlessly as a new rebuilt transmission should. Acceleration from stop is terrific if you need it! I always drive gently but if I needed to get out of the way of an oncoming train it’s good to know I can do so very quickly! Extremely powerful and smooth engine gives effortless power. PHOTO CORRECTION: In one of the photos the cabinet door below the sofa currently holding supplies is open in the photo. It has a door that functions perfectly! It just wasn’t closed for the photo. TIRES: Tires have close to 100% tread. Very thick tread. Tires are 16” size and are supple and no drying whatsoever. Like new condition. I priced them online and it looks like they were $129.00 each new. UNDERCARRIAGE: Underneath the frame is incredibly solid. You will see upgrades everywhere when you crawl underneath: new clamps everywhere, new fuel filter, new hoses, new rubber hoses… very obvious the undercarriage was excellently maintained. The frame is so solid that it appears to have been built to truck standard with huge beams. And I was very happy to see how solid everything is. Furthermore it confirms what I’ve been told is that for this model year Dodge built these vans more as trucks than vans. It makes sense as the van even sits up high like a truck. I was in a major RV chain the other day and sat in a new RV based on the Econoline chassis and was shocked how low to the ground the front cab was compared to this Dodge. It must have been at least a full foot lower than the Dodge. It is very nice to ride up high and sit higher than almost all other vehicles on the road. I think it adds safety and confidence and makes the vehicle feel more like an overlander than a van. CLASSIC / ANTIQUE: In most states this vehicle qualifies for antique license plates which in most states means you don’t have to do any inspections at all as long as you keep the vehicle safe and maintained. It could also be less expensive to register. Virginia only requires a one time $75 registration and it is good for as long as you own the vehicle. If you decide to get regular license plates it should have no problem passing any state’s safety inspection. For Virginia buyers we could arrange to have it inspected. TOWING: I have not towed anything but I was asked if it is possible to tow. It has a 410 gear ratio which is excellent for towing. It already has a receiver hitch so it’s ready for use and the GVWR is 9000 lbs. PAINT: The paint on the cab is in need of a re-spray. SHOWINGS: Showings in Fairfax county, northern Virginia, outside of Washington, DC. A seriously interested potential buyer may text me @ 936-328-0631 and we can arrange a time to talk. Why pay crazy high rent? You can live rent free in this apartment on wheels and be truly free and happy.
