Field Mowing & Brush Hogging (tractor service)

We offer field mowing / brush hogging for the lowest per acre cost. $135/hr. 4 hour minimum. Travel charge one way for properties within 25 miles of Ramona. Travel both ways for properties 25+ miles away. We can give you an estimate in advance but we use an app called GeoTracker that tallies the final price based on actual mowing time. It also provides a map showing everywhere we have mowed. All jobs include an extra person for safety spotting. This person communicates by radio the location of dangerous objects hidden in the tall grass (rocks, cement, wood, metal...etc.). During the months of June and July this person also acts as a fire watch and cannot be waived even if a field is known to be clean. For an extra $30 per hour this person can also pick up debris in front of the mower putting it into the tractor bucket, making the field safer and easier to mow this year and coming years. Averaging 1/2 acre per hour for heavy brush or rough terrain (buckwheat, tall chaparral etc.) and as fast as 1 acre per hour for other weeds (grass, mustard, thistles, etc.). Thank you! ** While rare, if we get barbed wire, flexible sprinkler pipe, rope or other hazardous items wrapped around the mower, the clock keeps running while we take it off (usually 15-20 minutes). This is tractor work so for close cutting around fences you will need guys with weed trimmers. We also do not do finish mowing, discing or raking. ** Tractor and mower NOT for sale.
