Lab / retriever mix (re-homing + small $20 adoption fee)

4-year-old male - chocolate brown beautiful lab retriever mix. We have had Buddy for four years (neutered + chipped) and have had a great experience overall with him. His original name was Sherlock Bones because he likes to investigate and sniff everything - has a very adventurous/playful demeanor. That said, Buddy is a sweet-spirited dog but is also a great watchdog. He will let you know if someone is approaching your house but he doesn't over bark. That said, Buddy is friendly with people, children, and other dogs as seen in the pictures and is very loyal. Buddy is potty trained and knows how to sit, get back from the door, lie down, come inside, etc. He is well-trained. I have all his shot records. He has been on Banfield's Wellness Plan for the last four years. The reason I am looking to place Buddy in a new home is due to a major life event. A month before my wife and I got married, we found out she had a rare blood disease and is extremely allergic to dogs. Her allergies trigger a histamine reaction which causes the symptoms associated with the disease to exacerbate. It's an unpleasant experience to say the least. This has been a very difficult decision for us. I am looking for someone who can provide good care, lots of love, and affection (he is affectionate), but also be the alpha. He LOVES quality time and short walks.
