1 Bedroom for 9/1 - Great Davis/Porter Spot - Most utilities included!

We have 1 spacious room with a wide window (approx. 130-135 square feet) available in a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom 3rd floor apartment in Somerville for September 1st. The location is AMAZING for Porter/Davis. Tufts/Harvard are totally walkable with bus/subway access everywhere, new Green Line especially. You would sign the 1 year lease with us. The price is $1000 per month. There is no living/dining room, though the backyard is available and shared with neighbors. We have street parking only as a current tenant's car uses the apartment's driveway spot, which (per Somerville rules) requires you to own your vehicle if you have one. You'll have some access to a visitor parking pass for guests.   Laundry is coin-operated in the basement. The roommate who is leaving on 9/1 is willing to allow a custom-installed AC to remain in the room, along with blinds they had installed - both are suited to the wide window.  One of the other two rooms barely uses common space - much of the basement storage, apartment closet, and the kitchen are yours outside of shared necessities. Heat, water, and electricity are included, a major bonus in winter especially - this effectively lowers the total cost by $40-150 per month. We do pay for the internet, which shouldn't go much higher than $20-25 a month depending on the plan for the fall. You may be responsible for buying out part or all of the security deposit of the roommate who is leaving. Your last month's rent may also be needed in addition to the first month's. We can't live with cats/dogs, unfortunately. This is a single occupancy room. Please no tobacco smokers, and marijuana should be smoked/vaped outside - perhaps in a bedroom with the door closed and window opened.  We do not judge any lifestyle. We are two men, mid-30s and mid-40s, who specifically welcome LGBTQ+, non-heteronormative, and generally open-minded lifestyles. We enjoy a wacky sense of humor & aren't especially keen to do things 'normally'. The only real requirements are keeping the space neat, discussing some regular cleaning, and a little less noise + kitchen lights off at night.
