Description:

Hi, I’m selling my Deagan Roundtop orchestra bells. I’ve had these since 1980 when I bought them from a woman whose husband was a drummer/percussionist in the teens and 1920’s. This set of bells is the model 1229 and has the extra high C# bar these are usually missing. It also has a little Deagan music stand which unfolds and fits into the case. The only thing I see which might need replacing is the tiny rubber gaskets around each pin. After over 100 years they are a bit dried out. Also the leather handle had to be replaced. The original wood case has some chipping on the bottom but otherwise is very strong.Bars are in great shape without any pealing of the plating. They are tuned to A-440.I’ve used these bells playing shows and they cut through any size ensemble. The plate inside the case which has the patent dates shows the last patent date from 1915. I’m in upstate NY and you are welcome to come play them if you want. If you want them shipped they are very heavy weighing 45 pounds.Shipping would be expensive, I could get a price of shipping from UPS if you are serious and send me your zip code. I would have them shipped by a UPS store.Asking $3,700.Please email me with any questions or call me at show contact info . Thanks, Philip Scammers don’t bother with your routines “is it still available?” “Are you a real person?” Etc etc.
