1987 Gilson Tractor

1987 Gilson Tractor This is not a full restoration, it is an original barn find. I have done only the minimum work necessary to put it back in operational condition without making any modifications. It is not perfect but I doubt you will ever see one as nice let alone find one for sale. Everything is completely original and working including the 48” mowing deck and pto driven rear three point tiller implement. The 18 hp opposed 2 cylinder Briggs and Stratton engine runs great. The safety switches all work, the backup beeper beeps and it has all four hubcaps over five lug rear wheels. I replaced the seat but the original with the Gilson logo is included. It has a damaged corner that is repairable but only for show or collectors purposes as after 25 plus years in the barn the vinyl is very hard and would probably brake if sat on. 1987 was the last year Gilson produced this tractor which was sold under the Ford and Montgomery Wards brands. They are a real ground engaging tractor not a light weight riding mower like those sold today at Home Depot or Lowe’s. If you love these old tractors like I do I’m up for a chat but if you plan to talk me out of it for a song don’t waste our time. Delivery possible within reason
