Description:

I purchased this coach in 2018 in Fort Myers Florida and drove it to Plymouth Ma, then to the Northern tip of Cape Breton Island Nova Scotia. During that time I made a list of maintenance requirements, inspections and upgrades that would be necessary to create a simple to maintain and reliable camper for yearly motorcycle trips. Important Upgrades and Preventive Maintenance Performed Since 2019. • Coolant hoses, drive belts replaced. • Coolant flushed and replaced with Nitrate Free Extended Life OAT coolant per Cummins Spec. • New (side) radiator. Manufactured by Maine Radiator MFG. • All filters, air, fuel, transmission and coolant filters replaced. • New steering tires. • Brake shoes inspected and found to be near 90% all the way around. • Air brake dryer cleaned, new seals and desiccant replaced. • Front wheel bearings, tie rod ends replaced • Front (Steering tires) new in 2021. Less than 2500 miles on them. • Wiper blades, arms and mechanism replaced. • Dual hydraulic radiator fan motors rebuilt and resealed • Main Hydraulic Pump rebuilt and resealed. • Allison transmission filters replaced. • Allison Fluid drained (2x) and replaced with synthetic Spirax S6 ATF A668 per newest specification. • Engine oil cooler gaskets replaced • Thermostats replaced. • Engine Oil presently at 12 mo. And 500 miles • New Chassis AC compressor • New pair of Steering Tires (November 2021) • New domestic water heater (Never used). New 2021. • Polybutylene plumbing replaced with PEX. New 2020. • Powerline 190 Amp Alternator. New 2020. • New Flooring throughout the interior. New 2020. • New domestic water pump. 2022. • Newly refurbished Allison Transmission computer controller from Transmission Instruments, Texas. 2021. This chassis is a semi-monocoque design. This is a heavy, stiff chassis. This family of chassis (S Series with 8 airbags and a side radiator) are the only ones Roadmaster built with a semi-monocoque design. That is an upper framing structure of 2” 2quare steel which is braced and welded to the lower chassis structure. This design makes it an extremely strong chassis which resists bending and twisting forces and is among the best designed chassis ever put under an older or newer motor home. Coach Interior/Exterior/Upgrades and Preventive Maintenance Performed Since 2019. • Refurbished interior. • All new vinyl plank flooring • Paint • Fiberglass Roof resealed with 5200 and epoxy painted. • Newer Norcold refrigerator freezer • New 6 gallon propane water heater. • Poly Butyl Plumbing replaced with PEX. • Propane Tank scraped painted and epoxy coated to prevent rust • House battery pak new in 2020 The coach is plugged into a 50 amp service adjacent to my home. It is currently registered in Massachusetts. This is a solid all mechanical diesel pusher with a clean burning 6 CTA 8.3 Cummins mated to a 6 speed Allison 3060 World Transmission. I have much of the documentation for this vehicle and it’s systems available. Folks who understand motor homes and Class A RV’s, know the extent, cost and difficulty of completing the work described, and therefore the inherit value in it’s completion. The coach is offered for sale because, at 71 YO, my plans have changed and this coach is no longer part of the equation. There is still some work to be done. Here is my recommended list; • Replace rear tires (Tread is near perfect but they have aged out) • Connect coach (new) water heater. • Bedroom Roof top AC is not cooling. • Other lesser things that are always part of owning an RV.
