I continuously run the fridge and MaxxFan 7500K when not in use and the system continuously stays between 90% - 100% with the solar. Each piece of equipment can be easily removed. • 20-gallon grey water tank mounted below the van, ball valve release. Insulation & Cabinetry • Havelock Sheep’s Wool insulation, 300 sq ft installed throughout the walls & ceiling. R7 value. • Local custom cabinetry custom built for the van. Sliding door cabinets above the bed, dry storage pantry with magnetic locks below the bed, there sliding cabinet drawers to the left and below the sink for dry goods, cooking utensils, etc. Sliding drawer below the live edge sugar maple meal prep area, and a lofted single cabinet with magnetic locks that I use for spices, coffee, etc. • FatMat rattletrap sound deadener installed below the flooring to assist with insulation and road noise. ½” foam board. This makes a huge difference. Walls, Ceiling & Flooring • 3/8” hardwood tongue and groove “Tobacco Canyon” installed on the ceiling. We used additional pieces for various trim through the van. • Marine ply subfloor. • Locally sourced white pine for trim pieces, mountain scenery. • Lowe’s composite flooring, waterproof. Windows, Ventilation & Heating • Motion Windows, x3. Peninsula Glass Co. (2) tinted sliding windows installed on the upper portion of the wall (I have only seen these installed on the lower portion of the wall). This allows you a 360 degree view outside the van and improved ventilation. (1) door window that also slides open. All three windows have screens. • MaxxFan 7500K Roof Vent purchased from Solar Town. Multiple speeds and can be switched between intake and outtake airflows modes. Creates a great airflow while cooking, at camp and sleeping. • Diesel Heater installed in the garage with LED control screen installed above the bed. Heat vent is directed out by the dining room vent. Very efficient and produces a lot of heat for chilly nights. Sleeping Area • Aluminum frame for the bed frame. Full sized bed which sleeps across the van (east to west) for anyone up to 6’ tall. • The sleeping area is one of two LED zones with a dimmable control by the foot of the bed. Various storage and compartments were integrated around the bed for books, drinks and phone storage/charging. • Aluminum brushed walls with white pine mountain scenery. • The back two van windows have custom magnetic Quest Overland black out covers. One window is slightly tinted, the other is not. I like this feature a lot for mornings to allow soft light or bright sunlight in by folding down the magnetic covers, depending on your preference. Kitchen & Dining Area • Gander (2) burner propane stovetop, flush mounted into the butcher block. • Ruvati sink (very deep & wide) & faucet flush mounted into the butcher block. • Engel Cooler Fridge (can be turned to chest freezer mode) 64 QT. Sits below the dining room bench seat for easy access. • Copper backsplash, custom made with a 10” magnetic knife holder. • (3) custom made sliding kitchen cabinet drawers for all of your dry goods, spices and cookware. Plenty of storage. • Live edge sugar maple sliding dining room table with Waterlox Marine high-gloss finish. Perfect for meals, remote work and/or Zoom meetings. Slides underneath the bed when not in use, creating a very low footprint dining table. • Eccotemp 2.5 gallon hot water heater below the sink. • Custom cushions (x3) made locally by an upholstery shop for the kitchen / dining room bench. Blue jean color. • Passenger swivel seat installed to open up the interior space, along with adding places to sit and work/eat/read. • Sugar maple live edge prep counter with tile backsplash. This is a great area for food prep, providing a good amount of counter space (in addition to the sliding live edge table). • Leather strap pulls for all drawers. Restroom & Shower • Nature’s Head Composting Toilet. Live underneath the sugar maple live edge prep counter and easily slides out for use. Vented out to the side of the van. • Camplux 5L 1.32 GPM propane hot water shower mounted on the back passenger side door. Quick connections to the water system which takes ten seconds. Garage • One single sheet of 10’ stainless steel custom welded and installed to easily clean, hose down gear after hikes, store firewood. Plenty of storage below the bed. 22 gallon fresh water wheel well tank with plenty of water fill points. • Diesel heater unit installed on the left side of the garage. Diesel tank is on sliding tracks for easy access and refilling. • Inverter with LED screen mounted in the back to easily see the energy system health. • You could easily install sliding road/mountain bike tracks if that is something you’re looking for. Exterior & Roof Deck • Custom aluminum frame 8’ deck housing the two solar panels, composite decking for seating, star gazing and additional gear on top of the van. These custom roof mounts usually cost around $6,000. Side rails for strapping extra gear down, especially if you’re carrying warm weather and cold weather (ski gear, etc) items to swap in and out of the van. • Custom mounted ladder which I used for my 10’6” SUP board.
