Description:

I have a 21ft Rinker Captiva 2006 (inboard/outboard), on a trailer but the boat does not run. The ex ruined the engine. It's totaled. I have the titles to both the boat and the trailer. The trailer has a tail light we couldn't get to work, but we also didn't spend time getting new wiring setup. I wouldn't doubt if the tires are flat on the trailer, so you'd need to bring a pump. The boat is sitting at a friends house 30 miles away, so I don't want to meet up with someone unless it's a serious, likely to purchase inquiry. I'm willing to negotiate! I purchased the boat and trailer for $13,500 in April 2021 and it was running just fine. After it's been "sunk" twice, the boat shop wants to charge around $15K to fix it, so insurance says, "nope. It's totaled." I am asking for $4000 OBO (cash, Zelle, or PayPal). I just need to be done with it and get it off my friends' property. I don't know what all is wrong with it, but I can tell you everything I know: -No idea on the engine hours. I am putting "100" as a placeholder. -The boat has been sitting un-touched for about 2 years. It has it's cover on but no idea what kind of shape it's in, because the boat has been sitting in the open air, not in covered storage. -The seats have seen better days. They need to be reupholstered -The engine was overhauled before we purchased it, but then the ex ran it aground and "sunk" it in 3 feet of water because he left the plug out. About 1 foot of water entered into the boat itself, and was in the boat for about 2 hours before we got it pulled out of the lake. -He took it to a shop that fixed it, but we were still having issues getting it to run when we got it into the lake. We got it to run just fine with the ear-muffs/hose hookup, so he tried working on the engine over a weekend that a hurricane came through, with the plug in, and ruined the engine again. Insurance says the boat is totaled. -It has a tower built-in which you may be able to repurpose. Shoot, there's probably a lot you can repurpose but I just have no idea what can be and what can't be re-used. -The hull is in fine shape. There's no issues with it sinking unless you don't put the plug in. -It started out as an ocean boat ran in the coastal waterway, and then we moved it inland. It has not been ran in the oceanwater since moved inland. I cannot deliver the boat. I do not have a truck. Boat is located near Wilton, NC. Serious inquiries only.
