CNC Machinist & Programmer (3-Axis Trak DPM, Hardinge, & Surface Grind

Title: CNC Machinist & Programmer (3-Axis Trak DPM, Hardinge, & Surface Grinding Specialist) Candidate will be required to: Fabricate/machine parts from drawings, sketches, 3D CAD Models, and verbal instructions, using common Machine Shop equipment. Program and operate equipment including 3-axis Trak DPM Bed mills using ProtoTRAK or standard CAD/CAM software like Mastercam, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks; Hardinge manual and CNC (Centroid) lathes; Manual and CNC Surface grinders, along with operation and possible training on CNC machining centers as needed. Work with materials such as Plastics, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and other Ferrous and non-Ferrous alloys, holding tolerances of +/-0.0005” with tighter tolerances on occasion. Adhere to all shop safety rules and maintain a neat and clean work area. Ideal candidate would have experiences with: Wire and Sinker EDM and Machining centers. Requirements: A minimum of five years of applicable experience as a machinist, or graduation from a two-year day technical school machinist course, or four-year vocational technical high school. A strong understanding of basic machine shop practices including the ability to read blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T). A motivated self-starter requiring minimal supervision and may be required to direct and train machinists with less experience. Other Details: This is a Union position.
