Custom Modular Synth Case #11

Available here is a custom built solid wood desktop modular synth case 6U by 104HP in new condition. This was hand made by myself, a professional finish carpenter of 20 years (and fellow electronic musician!). This one is from a variety batch of cases that were recently completed. These were intended as high quality desktop, stand, or wall mounted cases to house your beloved eurorack modules. They were meticulously crafted from solid wood with 1/2 inch plywood veneer bottoms, mitered corners and seven coats of HVLP sprayed clear nitrocellulose semi-gloss lacquer for a fine furniture grade finish. Four non skid black rubber feet are attached at the bottom. Case #11 - Birch Ply Maroon Distressed SPECS - Color: Maroon with Natural Blonde Maple Nosing Weight: 6 pounds Module depth (without pre-installed power supply and bus boards) : 100mm Side wall and top/bottom thickness: 1/2 inch Description: This case has half inch birch plywood walls and bottom with solid stock flamed maple half-round nosing on the top edges. The design intent was 'antiquing' so it has an aged and refinished look. It got three coats of different colored stains unevenly applied (brown, gray, and maroon), has leftover sandpaper scratches on the bottom, and has minor dings and dent 'distressing' throughout. This was all intentional, and while the case does look new it also could be mistaken for having been lovingly kicked around the studio for years and taken on several world tours with KISS. The clear lacquer was applied after the distressing so the surface damage doesn't look fresh. These techniques are often used in high end custom cabinetry for character finishes. Silver Synthrotek rails with 200 3mm slide nuts are included. 3mm thread strips can be added for an additional $40. Please inquire if a different brand or colored rail is preferred. Case power is not included since there are many available options and customer preferences. A simple solution would be a Tiptop uZeus or 4MS Row Power module. However if a pre-installed power supply is desired please inquire about additional cost for the hardware and installation labor. Please mention if you intend to wall mount this case so that a concealed cleat install hanger will be included. These cases were designed to accommodate almost all depth modules, however please check the measurements of your deepest modules before ordering to ensure proper fit.
