Engineer V (Water Resources) - R1546 Pay Range: $7,411 - $9,399 per month (ENG45 Step 1-13) Hiring Range: $7,411 - $7,864 per month (ENG45 Step 1-4 DOQ) Job Closing Date: July 22, 2023 There is one Engineer V opening with the Yakima County Public Services, Water Resources Division. This position is responsible for managing and coordinating the budgeting, cost estimating, design, permitting, construction and monitoring of the County’s flood control works and flood risk reduction projects. This position trains Water Resources Engineers, assists in new project development, leads projects with larger scope and financial accountability and assigns and monitors technical work of other Water Resources Engineers. Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field AND five (5) years engineering experience including two (2) years in surface water analysis and/or design; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Required: -Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Washington.
