Position Overview: We are seeking passionate and dependable Paratransit Specialists to join our growing team. The role involves providing non-emergency medical transport services to our clients, ensuring their transportation needs are met with professionalism and care. Paratransit Specialists may be required to fulfill the duties of a driver or a monitor, working either solo or as part of a team of two. Shift Options: Part-Time Split Shift: 7-9 AM and 2-4 PM (may vary based on route assignments) Paid full 4 hours / day, even for shorter routes. Responsibilities: - Provide safe and efficient transportation to medical appointments, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and other destinations. - Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring proper use of mobility aids and devices. - Monitor passengers throughout the transport and assist as needed. - Work effectively both independently and as part of a team of two, depending on assignment. - Maintain communication with dispatch and follow scheduled routes and timings. - Complete all required documentation, including trip logs, incident reports, and vehicle inspections. - Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. - Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure it is stocked with necessary supplies. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if applying for driving responsibilities). - Previous experience in paratransit or related field preferred but not required. - CPR and First Aid certification preferred, but not required. - Ability to pass a background check and drug test. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Physical ability to assist passengers and handle mobility equipment. - Commitment to compassionate care and excellent customer service.
