UC IRVINE HARNESSING ONLINE PEER EDUCATION (HOPE) OPIOID STUDY The goal of the UC Irvine HOPE Opioid study is to see how online social support tools like Facebook can help those affected by opioid addiction or struggling with opioids. Over the course of 12 weeks, participants join a private, hidden Facebook group. They have the opportunity to request information about medication for opioid use disorder, receive resources, and be referred to a virtual care provider. Participant Compensation: $205 Eligibility: Over 18 years old, addicted/dependent/struggling with opioids, resident of an urban California county (i.e., Imperial, San Diego, San Bernardino, Ventura, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, Orange, Santa Barbara, Riverside, and others).
