We are three, 30-40 something, mixed professionals looking for a clean, honest, drama~free roommate to share our one-of-a-kind, eclectic, artsy house near downtown Aurora. Household interests include: gardening, cooking, yoga, dance, music, hiking, camping, cycling, snowmobiling, volunteering, film, and music festivals. It's not necessary that you share these interests or participate, but we do enjoy a community-style household and try to include people in activities if they want to come along. Everyone pitches in to take care of responsibilities around the house, so helpfulness and cleanliness is a must. We are a safe and inclusive place for queer, trans and non-binary people, so acceptance and mutual respect of one another is mandatory. We are *mostly* an alcohol-free but 420-friendly household. We would prefer a like-minded, long-term roommate to join our mini community; however we've offered month-to-month options for students, actors, musicians, interns and the like in the past. Located in Aurora's beautiful Near Eastside Historic District, our turn-of-the-century, Victorian-style house is centrally located and within walking distance from the BNSF Metra train line (to Union Station), the Fox River Trail, Gillman Trail, Illinois Prairie Path, Aurora Public Library, Aurora's Waubonsee Community College Campus, Aurora University, Paramount Theater, Paramount School of the Arts, RiverEdge Park, and lots of restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, parks and more.
