Stickley Solid Quartersawn Oak with Leather recovered seat cushion For Sale $1,690 35H x 24W x 23D This is a rare antique Gustav Stickley armchair from the early 1900’s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in excellent condition with a rare scooped crest rail, vertical slats and drop-in spring seat. Early red decal under arm. The mark as shown in photos dates from 1902 to 1903, and If you look close you’ll see a joiner’s compass with Gustav Stickley in a box below. A photo of a clearer example is provided along with a graphic. The spring seat has been professionally recovered with high quality, hand rubbed leather cover. The dark brown finish has been cleaned and touched up with added color. This chair is rock solid and beautifully made of excellent quarter sawn oak with some wear.
