Title: Medical Assistant Needed for Podiatry Office (Part-Time) Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our reputable podiatry office. As a medical assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting our podiatrists with administrative and clinical tasks. Responsibilities: - Obtain and record accurate medical histories of patients - Assist with patient check-in, including verifying insurance information and updating medical records - Prepare examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and stocking of necessary supplies - Assist podiatrists during procedures and surgeries - Collect specimens - Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans - Provide excellent patient care and ensure patient comfort and confidentiality - Assist in casting feet and preparing x-ray equipment for imaging - Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient patient care Requirements: - Completion of a recognized medical assistant program preferred - Proven experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting - Fluent in both Spanish and English, with excellent communication skills - Proficient in medical terminology and documenting patient encounters - Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively - Professional demeanor, with the ability to maintain patient confidentiality - Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team - Flexibility to work Sundays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm To apply, please email your CV or resume to jamaica.podiatry@live.com.
