Description:

Terrific lot of 7 NEW unused early 1960's Belgium Descoware Orange Flame enamel over cast iron cookware. These were never used and some retain original lables and Frederick & Nelson price tag. Descoware was a Belgian competitor to Le Creuse, entering the market after WW II. It was favored by Julia Childs who featured the line in her iconic cooking show. Le Creuset eventually purchased the company, absorbing some design and production elements into their own lines. Lot includes covered 9"casserole, 7" smaller covered casserole, 7" bowl, 15" & 11" baking pans. The covered casserole has La Creuset stamped on bottom and Made In France along with a later version paper lable. This likely dates it to to when the Descoware assets were just about phased out. Heavy construction. Light wear from storage in a few places. No chips, cracks etc. A few glaze pops/skips from production. Price is firm. Cash & carry only. Located approx 20 mins N of Kirkland/Bothell.
