Off Grid Tiny Home on Wheels

Are you looking to live your best off-grid life on a homestead? Or hankering for adventure across the country? The RV, whom we lovingly refer to as Gypsy, is a tiny home on wheels. This is the perfect rig for those that want to stay off the beaten path. We camped in the deserts, the forests and everywhere in between in our rig in comfort. We made a lot of renovations on this rig, including the full off grid package. With two Canadian made 350 watt solar panels on the roof and a top of the line digital inverter, the solar package for powering off grid was $10,000. It also includes a Cummins Onan P4500 Digital Inverter Generator for backup power on those long rainy day stretches. This will be included (see full upgrade list below). To really make life easy, we installed a composting toilet, the AirHead brand, for ease of human waste disposal. No matter where you may find yourself, whether deep in the woods or traveling through a city, you willt find it easy to dispose of waste without having to find a dump station. For #1, the toilet has a collection reservoir that, once full, you can simply dump the pee on a tree or carry to a toilet if nearby. For #2, the toilet has a separate compartment that you mix with peat moss or coconut fiber that you can change out every month or so. This makes life soooo much easier because you can be off grid for months as long as you have a supply of fresh water to fill the tank. Talk about freedom! Last fall, before covering the rig for the winter, we had the entire RV roof replaced, which will keep the life of the rig chugging along for many years to come.
