APPLY HERE Description: The Reactives Engineer will be a point of contact and subject matter expert with regard to the safe and proper management of reactive chemicals specifically within the Sauget, IL facility. The Engineer is also tasked with implementing all reactive chemical management activities. They will have the opportunity to work in partnership with other Reactives and Environmental Health and Safety personnel on local and branch projects. This role regularly is tasked with investigating process upsets in the field and creating corrective action plans, quoting out special projects, and even training teams on best practices & safety.  Reactive materials include, but are not limited to: explosives, shock sensitives, temperature sensitives, cylinders, controlled substances and toxins, and air & water reactives.  What we Offer: Exciting Relocation Package Offered! Qualifications: *This opportunity is based in Sauget, IL Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field 2+ years of experience within the chemical industry a must!5+ years of experience in managing hazardous materials preferred Experience with Microsoft Office reporting (Word & Excel) Must have strong commitment to process & safety (problem-solving skills & critical thinking abilities) Ability to cooperate/communicate with team (especially those without technical background) Must have exceptional communication, presentation, and project management skills Why Veolia?
