We are looking for a considerate, tidy, and laid-back roommate to share our 5 bedroom North Beacon Hill house. We are 1 man and 3 women in their 20s to 40s, looking for individuals in the same age-range who are interested in being a part of a fun and respectful community, rather than just looking for a cheap room. We want open-minded roommates who believe in the importance of good communication and cooperation, don't mind doing their share of chores and yard work, will attend occasional meetings, and generally want to hang out with us. The Basics: • 10x10 downstairs bedroom with a fireplace and additional 25sq ft area for a total of 125sq ft, $665 • There is a storage room next to the bedroom. Each roommate pays $81.25 for some storage in that room. This also allows us to only have 5 people in the house, rather than 6. There is the option to purchase additional storage in that room; up to half of the room for $325. • Looking for a long term renter, ideally committing to staying at least until our lease ends at the end of August 2024. We've been here for nearly 7 years, and expect our lease to be renewed. • Room is available September 1st with first month's rent and $825 deposit due at move in. • Utilities (including Wi-Fi) are shared 5 ways, averaging around $150 per month. • Pets on a case by case basis. There is already one small dog, one cat, a rat cage (in a downstairs roommate's bedroom), a snake terrarium in an upstairs roommate's bedroom, and a gerbil tank in the living room. The house is newly remodeled and is located in North Beacon Hill by Jefferson Park. The two-story home has 5 bedrooms; 3 upstairs and 2 downstairs, with a full-sized bathroom on each floor. There is a lovely landscaped yard, attached two-car garage, ample street parking, and a large patio perfect for summertime BBQs. The house is furnished, but bedrooms are unfurnished. We are all quite left-leaning and fairly introverted, though we enjoy socializing very much. Some of us are night owls but are respectful of others’ sleep schedules. We all enjoy live music, dancing, and drinks with friends, as well as hiking, camping, and music festivals. We also enjoy socializing with each other, going for walks, watching movies, cooking together, and social drinking on weekends. Smoking weed inside is acceptable, though we ask that joints and cigarettes be smoked outside. A little about ourselves: Jordan (40) grew up in Oregon and California. He works as a licensed home inspector, and spends his nights making nerdy synth music. He's pretty handy to have around and is always working on some project in the basement or garage. What’s he building in there? Laura (38) grew up in Washington, and has lived in Los Angeles and Anchorage. She is a bartender and server. She loves movies, classic rock, tequila, and costume parties. Laura enjoys game nights and movies in the winter, festivals and camping in the summer, and Simpsons references all year round! Sasha (26) grew up in Washington and has spent time traveling the world. She works as an immigration case specialist, and enjoys playing board games and making new friends. She loves partner dancing, including: west coast swing, salsa, and fusion. Her other hobbies include crochet, playing with her snake and gerbils, and watching trash TV with the housemates. Chelsea (30) grew up on the Eastside of Seattle, and has lived in Upstate NY and London. She works as a flight attendant, and can most often be found hosting karaoke at her local dive and playing in pinball tournaments. If she's at home, she's probably gaming and talking shit to 12-year-olds. The ability to pass a background check is required. Please no drama, discrimination, or hard drugs.
