SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER (ARMED/UNARMED) SECURITY OFFICER

DECO International Security Corporation (Lic.#SAB3441) is currently seeking commissioned armed and unarmed Special Police Officers (SPO) and Security Officers (SO) in the District of Columbia. The ideal candidate must be a US citizen or permanent resident, have good communication skills, strong verbal command, ability to read and write, excellent observational skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, while exhibiting patience, attention to detail and exercise common sense judgement. Minimum requirements: o Must be 21 years of age o US citizen and or permanent resident o Military/security/corrections/police officer experience a plus o High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent. o Must be able to read and write in English o Ability to pass a drug screening test (6 panel with levels) o Prior employment verification o Clean driving and criminal record o Current commissioned DC SPO or SO, or eligible to obtain license o Proof of training/certifications o Current range qualifications and proof of MEB/First Aid/AED/CPR Cards Basic Security Duties: o Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle and notate findings during these patrols. o Compose electronic security reports for daily activity, incidents, maintenance, and suspicious activities. o Politely inform violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles. o Watch for and report irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards. o Sound alarms or call police or fire/EMS in case of fire, medical emergencies or presence of unauthorized persons. o Permit authorized individuals to enter property and monitor entrances and exits. o Assist clients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
