Hutch Kids Child Care Center provides care for infants, toddlers, and preschool aged children. We are seeking experienced candidates for the position of Toddler Assistant Teacher in one of our young toddler rooms. At Hutch Kids, we construct a child-centered, developmentally appropriate, emergent curriculum that encourages children's growth and development, including their self-confidence, spontaneity, curiosity, and self-discipline. As a whole and within each classroom, we consider ourselves a community of learners. Assistant teachers work as a team with two co-lead teachers to develop and implement a positive, nurturing and stimulating environment suited for the individual developmental needs of each child. Low classroom ratios allow for the development of secure, lasting relationships between children, teachers, and families. Hutch Kids is accredited by NAEYC and participates in Early Achievers. Strong candidates will be patient and professional, with a child-centered philosophy of how children learn and grow. Must be a team player and love all children. Must have a minimum of a Washington State Short ECE Certificate (or be working towards your degree), though a AA in ECE is preferred and a minimum of 2-years teaching experience with young children. Hutch Kids is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture for children, families, and staff. Individuals who are male identifying, members of the BIPOC community, and who represent a marginalized community are encouraged to apply given that their unique experiences and perspectives directly supports the need for young children to have both mirrors and windows within our community.
